Ethan started off as the prototype Ethan vinyl kit by talented artist Joanna Bobrzynska-Gomes. It's been an honor for me to work on this stunning sculpt, I'd like to thank Joanna again for offering me her beautiful vinyl kits. The Art of Reborn aims to create the most incredibly realistic baby dolls and I have experienced how these babies can bring joy and happiness into other people's lives.

I spend many hours creating each of my Babies.
It usually takes me very long (3 or 4 weeks) to bring my little babies to life, I manage every step of the reborn process, from painting and rooting to photo shooting. Sometimes I even hand sew and crochet baby outfits for my babies. They won't leave the nursery unless everything is as perfect as possible, I'd never offer a baby I'm not completely happy with. This is time consuming, but really worth it and I'm totally glad when my customers enjoy my babies.

I've reborned baby dolls for over five years now and I continually update my methods to move forward as an artist and to bring you the highest quality and *durable* babies possible. Ethan's coloring is very realistic and incredibly detailed. I have used Genesis Heat Set Paints on him, these colors have been proved to be permanent, they will never fade or rub off. I applied several layers of paint to achieve the skin complexion I was aiming and each layer has been cured properly, Ethan's coloring will remain as it is now for many years to come! No area was left untouched, I meticulously hand painted in Genesis heat set paints all the details, paying particular attention to the skin texture.

I do not open noses, nor mouths so as to not damage the vinyl structure, though for a touch of realism his nostrils were shaded with Genesis heat set paint to appear even more realistic. Ethan does have a cute magnetic pacifier. Earth magnets are very strong so please use care around pacemakers and electrical equipment.

Ethan was ultra micro-rooted with 1/2 strands of kid premium lg brown mohair inserted at a time. The mohair comes as usual from my dear friend Joanna Gomes of Pitter Patter Nursery, it's absolutely the best quality and softer mohair I've ever worked with. I've used the smallest needles available to doll artists, no big plug holes are visible on Ethan's head, as you can see in the pictures. Then I've secured the hair from the inside with waterproof adhesive for durability and when it dried I hand sculpted his newborn never-cut hair look. The hair is naturally straight
and never frizzy, you will easily style it as you choose.

Ethan has a doe suede body that was signed and numbered by Joanna Gomes. He's got 3/4 soft vinyl limbs and a tummy plate for posing. He's a very realistic in size, just like a 3 month old baby. Each part of his body was weighted to feel like the real thing. He was filled only with the highest quality stuffing, very soft polyfill, little poly pellets and tiny glass beads. There's NO BABY FAT or SAND inside his body.
Ethan is fully poseable, you can position him in many different poses. Everything in him is perfectly proportioned, you will be surprised with the real baby feel when he's in your arms, he's so cuddly when you hold him against your chest!

Ethan's eyelashes are micro-rooted with the same mohair used for his hair and have been sealed in place from the inside. Look how they frame his nicely closed eyes.

Ethan wears 3 mo. size, he's a big baby boy! He will arrive to his new home with a complete layette, I had a great time shopping for him. He will also arrive with a hand crocheted hooded cardigan and a cute red kitty for him. Please look below for the complete list of clothing.

Ethan has been transformed from a doll kit to a highly collectible work of art to be passed down to future generations and is not recommended for small children because of the reborning process.
